Give justice, not cash [14/09 08:12PM]
Dead men’s price

Rs 8 lakh for each of the dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured. This is the price politicians have placed on the lives and limbs of those poor sods who died or were grievously hurt in Saturday’s bomb blasts in Delhi.

It’s a lot of money- Rs 8 lakh is. Perhaps enough to compensate that woman whose husband will never come home again. An orphaned kid surely won’t miss his dad with this kind of cash to play around with? Rs 8 lakh is also guaranteed to dry the tears of the mother we found sprawled in the street after the blasts, grieving bitterly over her dead son. Rs 8 lakh… Wow!

What a shame. Twenty six innocent men, women and children have died in terrorist outrage and our politicians are busy buying up the survivors with ‘compensation.’ They have just played another round of The Price is Right, a terrible reality show in our country where the right price of a life lost must be guessed correctly by the rulers that be. Can anyone be ‘compensated’ for the death of a beloved husband, child, sister or brother?

Yes, compensate! Make it up to the people by having a rule of law in the country. There’s no point in assuaging our collective conscience by doling out cash to the families of the victims. Give Justice

Encash the Dead !!!
This is so true, I mean our govt really need to think on this. Ok 8 Lakhs is abig fat amount but cannot substitute your loved ones. What if some of our politiican lost their loved ones, they would delcrare a frekin holiday. Our govt needs to train all their govt officials to be more alert and efficient to perform thier duties. Not jus fill their pocket.
